Financial Aid Request Application

The Virginia M. Satir Center (VMSC) sets aside a financial aid budget each year to help make our workshops, programs, and groups more accessible. While we wish we could support everyone who applies, funds are limited, and we may not always be able to provide financial aid to every person who requests it. We do our best to distribute available funds as fairly as possible.

The information you provide below will help us in making those determinations. Your application will be reviewed by the facilitators of the workshop, program, or group you are applying for, along with VMSC’s Executive Director (Regina Taggart) and Director of Training (Jean McLendon). All applications are handled with care and confidentiality.

Once your application has been reviewed, we will follow up to let you know whether we are able to provide financial aid at this time, and if so, the amount that will be applied toward your registration fee. We do our best to respond as quickly as we can.   • Yes. You may apply for financial aid for different workshops, programs, or groups. If funds are limited and you have applied for more than one, we may reach out to you to discuss where receiving support would be most helpful.

  • No. Financial aid is used to subsidize registration fees and does not cover the full tuition amount. It also cannot be applied to travel, lodging, or other expenses.

  • No. Financial aid is available only for individual registrations, not for corporate- or non-profit–sponsored registrations.
