Fundamentally Satir - An Introduction (Virtual)

Dates: February 25-26, 2027
Time: 8am - 12:30pm ET (with a 30-minute break each day)
Format: Live via Zoom
NBCC Continuing Education Hours: 12 hours

A more authentic way to experience your life—and your relationships.

This three-day virtual training introduces a powerful, practical model for personal and relational change. Through a guided, experiential exploration of the Satir Growth Model, you’ll begin to see your own patterns more clearly, understand what shapes your responses, and practice new ways of relating that feel more honest and connected.

We’ll look at the various components of the model and explore practical tools that allow you to understand yourself, improve communication, and create more meaningful change in your relationships.

The film Fundamentally Satir, featuring Jean McLendon, serves as a living example of the model in action

What you’ll explore.

We’ll touch on all the core components of the Satir Growth Model, which invite us toward greater peace within ourselves, in our relationships with others, and within our broader family and systems.

Throughout the workshop, we’ll move beyond theory and work directly with practical Satir tools in each area—tools you can begin applying immediately in your life and relationships.

Within yourself
Self-esteem, inner experience, and the internal patterns that drive how you think, feel, and respond

Between people
Communication patterns, coping strategies, and what actually builds or breaks connection

Within families and systems
Family mapping and key Satir concepts that reveal larger relational patterns—and how change moves through them
