As the session progresses, Jean provides in-depth, moment-to-moment commentary—explaining the structure, intention, and considerations behind her choices as a facilitator. Rather than a scripted walkthrough, this is a window into the real work: subtle decisions, pacing, emotional presence, and systemic awareness. Whether you’ve seen reconstructions before or are approaching this for the first time, this series offers a unique and intimate learning experience.

This video series is ideal for Satir-informed practitioners, supervisors, and educators who want to deepen their understanding of how Family Reconstruction functions in live practice. It is not intended as a standalone training in how to lead reconstructions. If you are beginning to explore this work, we strongly encourage you to seek out supervision and additional guidance.

Content Advisory: Within the context of intentional safety, you’ll find trauma depicted by the star and role players in this family reconstruction. Strong language is used describe the experience. When triggered, the client and role players are gently reminded to return to their breath and inner wisdom for grounding. In the Satir Growth Model, the safe connection between a star and guide provides the container for validation and transformation of painful feelings.
